- Skiers and snowboarders can catch big air and magnificent views while cruising Big Bear's pristine network of groomed powder trails. From the step onto the chairlift, time stands still as you get in as many runs as possible before the sun sets.
- There's a world of frosty fun beyond the slopes, too. Pack a picnic lunch (think hearty sandwiches and hot chocolate) and trek on snowshoes or cross-country with family and friends on numbers of trails valley-wide.
- With the snowy ground as your easel, be the first to make snow angels or build a snowman. You may even discover more than your own snowshoe prints as the forest abounds with deer, squirrels, foxes and even raccoons.
- For over-the-top outdoor fun, take flight on a zipline high above the forest floor or race inner tubes in snow play areas where you can bank on plenty of the white stuff. Your kids will fill the air with laughter and beg for more.
- Perhaps your idea of enjoying the great outdoors is from the warm indoors. Mosey over to a cozy Big Bear restaurant for a window table and a hot toddy while watching the scene outside that is reminiscent of a Norman Rockwell painting. Back in your cabin or condo, gather around a crackling fire and play games, read or snooze.
